Jon David Steinman (Apukuna) is a DJ, musician, and facilitator devoted to the art of movement as a pathway for connection, expression, and awakening.
Through live looping, remixing, vocals, and digital percussion, he crafts immersive sound journeys that unfold in real time—blending sacred and contemporary music into experiences that invite both depth and play on the dance floor.
Jon approaches ecstatic dance as both a personal and collective practice—one that supports emotional release, nervous system regulation, and authentic movement. His facilitation emphasizes a clear and supportive container, where participants are invited to explore freely while feeling safe, respected, and connected.
Also a singer-songwriter and seasoned workshop facilitator, Jon brings a multidisciplinary lens to his work, including conscious communication, community-building, and food. He has been a regular contributor to retreats at The Sentinel for many years.
